Swiftlets are cunning birds that don't live in an ordinary nest.  These nests are not made out of sticks or are in a tree.  These birds live in dark caves in Asia.  Swiftlets craft their nests from their thick saliva.

Working together,  the male and female swiftlet use their long tongues to spit an outline on where the nest would be.  They carefully layer the sticky saliva on the outline and the saliva dries quickly.  Soon the nest looks like a half bowl on the damp walls.  Now for the Swiflet  couple , the nest is ready.  The nest looks and feels like dried white glue.

One cave can have hundreds of swiflet nest.  sometimes, brave men venture inside the cave and take multiple nests even though it is very dangerous.  One pound of nest can cost up to $100!

Chefs buy these expensive nests for a savory dish called bird nest soup .  this soup might only have a few pieces in it but can cost around $100!  Swiftlets not only have the tastiest home but the most expensive one in
the whole animal kingdom!!

Book Report

Horse shoe Crabs
by:Elizabeth Westlund
Oct. 2015

I read an artical in an old "Ranger Rick"magazine about Horseshoe crabs.
These crabs have ten different eyes and ten legs.  Eight of the ten eyes are used for sensing and the last two are used for looking and seeing just like people.  These crabs lay little green eggs that look just like peas and are only as big as a little o in the alphabet.

The "Red Knots" are becoming extinct.  Why you ask?  Well it is because of people .  these birds usually eat Horseshoe crab eggs but since people have been catching more and more crabs, the crabs don't want to come to shore as often to lay eggs so then the Red Knots don't have a full stomach to get them to their migratory homes.  The Horseshoe Crabs might not be coming to shore as often because of polluted waters....No one knows.

I Liked this artical because it proves Evolution is not true. there is one main Reason,  they stayed the same and are still the same and there is evidence proving it.

Fowling

I read an article in the "World Teen" magazene about a new sport called "Fowling".

Fowling is a type of football\bowling.  It is practically the same as bowling unless you hit only the middle pin.  If you do this then you blow a bugle horn and say you got a "Bonk Honk".  Everything but that is the same as bowling but just with a football.  This game was originated in Detroit,  Michigan.  It was made by a man named Mr. Hutt.  This game is becoming very popular.

I think it would be fun to "Fowl" and that is one of the main reasons I chose this article.
